On 3 December 2025, the STREAM project was presented at the Workshop on Digital Twins for the Energy Transition, hosted by the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. The event gathered European experts and research projects developing advanced digital twin technologies for modern energy systems.
Jan Jeriha (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana) presented STREAM’s work in a dedicated talk titled “STREAM: Building the Flexibility Ecosystem for Low-Voltage Grids.” His presentation highlighted how STREAM is developing an integrated ecosystem for enabling, managing, and utilizing flexibility at the low-voltage level. This included an overview of the STREAM toolchain and its role in supporting data-driven grid planning, real-time operational management, and local flexibility markets. STREAM_IJS_presentation
Jan also showcased the project’s progress on digital twin development for the Ajdovščina pilot site, demonstrating how detailed LV/MV modelling, forecasting, and congestion prediction support both distribution system operators and flexibility market operators.
STREAM’s participation contributed to a broader discussion on the future of digital energy systems, alongside other EU-funded projects addressing grid resilience, storage optimisation, and energy communities.
