On the 13th of August, STREAM partners from Finland, OptiWatti and VTT, participated in the FlexFinland seminar in Helsinki.
FlexFinland is a Think Tank whose purpose is to promote demand-response in Finland by bringing together different stakeholders to support the opening of the flexibility market. The seminar brought together companies such as Voltalis Finland Oy, Lähienergialiitto, Ouman Oy, as well as EU projects like BungEES, to exchange knowledge and perspectives on demand flexibility.
For STREAM’s Finnish pilot site, the seminar was highly valuable. It provided insights that partly validated our current approach and partly generated new ideas for the further development of our solution. Particularly interesting was the presentation of the BungEES project, an EU-funded initiative developing demand-response solutions, with pilot sites in Spain, Portugal, France and the Czech Republic. This exchange of ideas reinforced STREAM’s direction and highlighted opportunities for collaboration with other European initiatives working to advance flexibility markets.
