On 13 January 2026, STREAM project had the honour of being presented as a Widening Country success story at the online training “Competitive Proposals and Success Stories in Cluster 5 – Widening Countries”, organised by NCP_WIDERA.NET in collaboration with GREENET.
The training was designed to support potential applicants from Widening Countries in Horizon Europe Cluster 5 calls — covering Climate, Energy & Mobility — and was held back-to-back with the Horizon Europe Brokerage Event 2026 Cluster 5.
The session covered a range of topics, including an overview of Cluster 5 thematic priorities and funding opportunities, an introduction to the NCP_WIDERA.NET and GREENET networks, and practical proposal writing tips, tools, and strategies to improve clarity, structure, and competitiveness. The session concluded with inspiring success stories from Widening Countries and STREAM was featured as one of them, sharing effective strategies and lessons learned from our experience in successfully securing Horizon Europe funding.
Being presented as a success story is a recognition of the hard work, teamwork, and key decisions that go into every funded project and a great opportunity to inspire future applicants from Widening Countries to take that step.
